After watching golf on TV and hitting croquet balls in the yard as a small child the love of playing and hitting a target was began. Although it wasn’t until a senior in high school when playing on an actual course took place. School sports took over and I actually got a full football scholarship to Auburn University as a quarterback. While in school at Auburn I was able to play sometimes with teammates and realized just how much I enjoyed golf. My brother had joined a very nice country club and when at home I was able to play but that was not often. We played mostly a little nine hole public course in Auburn.
After Auburn, married and working real estate in Montgomery, Al. I joined a country club and developed some really close playing partners and played more than I probably should have. I got to know the pro really well and started to work on my game. Now I live in Birmingham, Al and semi retired and play in some senior association events and with friends.
My passion has turned to not only playing but doing this blog and coming up with plans/programs to save golfers money and improve their games. I am being certified with TathataGolf as a movement specialist. In my opinion, too many golfers do not get as much enjoyment with golf as they could because they don’t get some of the basic fundamentals down. TathataGolf is the martial arts training for golf and having implemented their teachings I can honestly say… my game hasn’t been better.
I have 6 sons and they all play golf. Just recently I got to play with my 3rd son in Cuscowilla, Ga. What a golf course on Lake Oconee.
